Maulana Mudassir Syed Sharieff memorized the Holy Quran at the age of 17 and then continued his noble journey of seeking sacred knowledge by enrolling in the 6-year Alimiyyah program at Darul Uloom Al Madania in Buffalo, NY. In 2019, he graduated with notable distinction with a focus in theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, logic, and Arabic grammar. Concurrently, he was granted his high school equivalency diploma with merit from the University of the State of NY. He is presently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from Buffalo State College.
Maulana Mudassir is not only fluent in English and Urdu, he is also proficient in Tajweed sciences and Classical Arabic. His passion for learning the Quran led him to travel to Azaadville, South Africa, to pursue advanced Tajweed and Qira’at courses, at which he excelled. Maulana Mudassir is an outstanding teacher and mentor with more than 7 years of teaching experience at his Darul Uloom. All the while, he also led Jumuah Khutbahs across his city, led Taraweeh prayers, worked in community outreach projects and tended to community members’ Islamic inquiries.

He has recently joined Islamic Center of Centerville, OH as Head of the Hifdh Department, where he intends to utilize his experience and skills to lead his students with the best methods in attaining Quranic knowledge.
